Registration and Title Searches: The Motor Vehicle Services Section of WYDOT may conduct vehicle title and registration searches for legitimate business purposes. Each requestor must submit a written request by completing the Privacy Disclosure Agreement Form, accompanied by a $5.00 fee. Recording Requirements:
Per the Uniform Commercial Code
adopted July, 1962: All lien
instruments are recorded by use of
"financing statements" which are
filed with the clerk of the county
where property is located.
As per the UCC, repossession is
allowed and permitted as long as it
is peaceful.
Ten (10) day redemption.
Judgment notes are probably not
valid but deficiency permitted of
authorized by lien instrument. Lien is noted on certificate of title. Recording must be done with County Recorder.
Title in lienholder's name or debtor's name; notarized Power of Attorney; affidavit of repossession.
Documents Required for Liquidation: Title, Repossession Affidavit, and Copy of Contract.
Plates: Remain with the owner / debtor.
